Masahiko Kobayashi

Born 1988 in Japan.
I confront motifs that are related to everyday subjects and life experiences, and create works that evoke in the viewer “things that cannot be easily understood or described.
In recent years, I have developed a new way of viewing photographs using a projector, and have been developing installations in various locations where the viewer can appreciate the photographs with physical movements. I am good at research and fieldwork, and capture “things that are invisible to the eye but certainly exist there – memories and history” in my photographs.
