Blow-up「Expanded」
|

Photographs have long been spoken of as things that fix a moment.
However, as I thought about the exhibition Blow-up, I began to feel that images do not rise up all at once, but rather blur within time, shifting while remaining unfinished.
In this space, I place sound as that “time in between.”
Vibrations before they are collected into meaning or function.
Sound that remains in the space without having a contour.
The body, too, is there in a state prior to becoming expression.
Taking one step away from clarity and rationality, we stand in moments when once-invisible sensations faintly rise.
In the time in which photographs are on their way to becoming images, sound and the body run alongside them.
Without seeking integration or explanation, they share the same time.
This performance is not for a completed image.
It is a private attempt to receive what is still undetermined as one form of reality.
